Department/ Hospital:Facility Management & Maintenance Department, United Christian Hospital
Salary:HK$ 34,705 - HK$ 40,220 (HGPS point 13 to 16)per month including Monthly Allowance
Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform shift duties and be the team-in-charge to lead a group of technical staff in carrying out day-to-day repair, maintenance and improvement works of central air-conditioning system and electrical system in hospital.
- Provide technical support to daily project works in the Department.
- Attend new expansion block building services installation testing and commissioning.
- Attend the hospital’s Building Management System (BMS) / Central Control and Monitoring System (CCMS) for continuous control and monitoring of the Electrical and Mechanical systems and any other systems serviced by the Department.
- Liaise with parties concerned including external contractors for timely and smooth execution of various works and projects.
- Attend emergency calls and carry out emergency repair works outside normal working hours when required.
- Monitor and maintain good inventory control of related stores.
- Lead internal facility inspection or audit as required.
- Ensure work safety while carrying out daily works.
- Perform administrative work including record-taking, report-writing, etc. as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Entry Requirement:
- 1.a) A Certificate in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from Hong Kong Polytechnic/ Hong Kong Polytechnic University/ Hong Kong Technical College/ Hong Kong Technical Institute/ Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education, or equivalent.
- OR
- b) 5 years of relevant working experience as skilled worker in the field of Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- OR
- c) Completed a recognized Technician Apprenticeship in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- 2. At least 3 years’ site supervisory experience subsequent to fulfilling (1) above.
- 3. A knowledge of English and Chinese equivalent to Form 3 (before 2012)/Secondary 3 standard.
- 4. Obtained valid Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate (Green Card).
Preferred Attributes:
- Registered electrical worker, class B(0), as registered in the list of EMSD.
- Have 5 years' experience in related fields with at least 3 years in supervising level.
- Holder of Bachelor degree in Building Services Engineering / Electrical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering or equivalent disciplines.
- Holder of Occupational Safety, Health or Environmental certificate/diploma recognized by HKSAR Government.
- Experience in the testing and commissioning of mechanical system, central air-conditioning system, BMS/CCMS, or electrical system in hospital.
- Proficiency in the use of computer software, such as Computer-based Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Autocad, Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English.
