Job summary

Jardine Engineering Corporation seeks an experienced Assistant Manager / Manager to lead the delivery of building services projects, with a primary focus on MVAC works. The successful candidate will oversee delivery from award through completion and handover, reporting to the Business Unit Head.

You will manage end-to-end delivery, coordinate stakeholders, monitor cost, quality and safety, and mentor engineers and site staff to build a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Over 10 years of relevant experience in building services contracting, with proven experience managing projects on site.
• Strong technical knowledge of MVAC systems, including installation, testing, commissioning and operation.
• Solid experience in project management, cost control, contract administration and commercial management.
• Familiar with Hong Kong statutory requirements, site safety regulations and building services industry practices.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders, contractors and project teams effectively. Strong leadership, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
• Chartered Engineer status or membership of a recognised professional institution is an advantage.
• Candidates with more extensive experience may be considered for the Manager position.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of building services projects, primarily MVAC works, from project award through completion and handover.
• Manage project execution, cost, quality and safety to achieve project and contractual requirements.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and implement solutions to technical, commercial and site-related challenges.
• Review and manage engineering deliverables, including shop drawings, method statements, testing & commissioning activities and handover documentation.
• Administer contract matters, including variations, claims, interim payments and final accounts.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, safety regulations, contractual obligations and company procedures.
• Prepare project progress, cost and risk reports for management review and decision-making.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and lead project teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Coordinate and lead project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Represent the company in client meetings, site coordination meetings and other project-related discussions.
• Mentor and develop engineers and site staff, fostering a high-performing project team.
• Drive business excellence and contribute to business growth, including identifying opportunities for project enhancements and new business development.
• Lead continuous improvement of operational efficiency and commercial performance.
