Job summary

CHINAWIN MICROELECTRONICS LIMITED seeks an experienced embedded software engineer to drive audio and intercom features on robotic edge devices. You will develop microphone and speaker drivers, optimize AEC/ANS pipelines, and enable real‑time data exchange with peripherals over embedded Linux.

The role requires 3+ years in robotics, proficiency in C/C++, and hands‑on experience with audio/video intercom protocols like WebRTC or PJSIP. Familiarity with ROS2 and hardware debugging is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronics, CS, Automation, or related fields.
• 3+ years embedded software development experience in robotics.
• Hands-on robotics project experience with robot hardware and system architectures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and debug microphone array and speaker drivers for full‑duplex intercom on edge devices.
• Optimize audio pipelines: capture, playback, AEC, and ANS for clear intercom performance.
• Interface with cameras, robotic arms, and sensors; implement real‑time data transmission on embedded Linux.
• Integrate ASR, TTS, and LLM APIs for intelligent dialogue and control.
• Contribute to ROS2 feature development, collaborate with motion and vision modules.
• Select audio components, review schematics, and perform driver debugging.
• Produce design docs, interface specs, and test reports; maintain system performance.

Job description

• Responsible for the driver development and debugging of the microphone array and speakers on the robot's edge side to achieve full-duplex voice intercom functionality.
• Optimize audio processing pipelines including capture, playback, Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC), and Acoustic Noise Suppression (ANS) to ensure clear and smooth intercom performance.

Peripheral Communication & Integration

• Interface with peripherals such as cameras, robotic arms, and sensors to complete data acquisition and control command dispatch.
• Implement multi-threading, network communication, and real-time data transmission based on embedded Linux.

AI Capability Integration

• Integrate Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), Text-to-Speech (TTS), and Large Language Model (LLM) APIs to enable intelligent dialogue, voice broadcasting, and real-time control for the robot.

System Integration & Optimization

• Participate in ROS2-related feature development, and collaborate with the motion control and vision modules to complete whole-machine integration and debugging.
• Capable of completing audio component selection, schematic review, and driver debugging.

Documentation & Maintenance

• Write design documents, interface specifications, and test reports, and continuously optimize system performance.
• Bachelor's degree or above in Electronics, Computer Science, Automation, or related majors, with over 3 years of embedded software development experience.
• Hands-on project experience in the robotics industry (e.g., robot dogs, AMRs, robotic arms) and familiarity with robot system architectures.
• Independent development experience in audio/video intercom features (e.g., full-duplex audio transmission based on WebRTC, PJSIP, or proprietary protocols).
• Proficient in C/C++ and familiar with Linux environment programming (multi-threading, network programming, file systems).
• Familiar with driver development for common interfaces such as UART, SPI, I2C, and USB.
• Familiar with TCP/UDP/MQTT/WebSocket protocols.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points)

• Understanding of I2S/PCM audio buses, with experience in ALSA, TinyALSA, or audio codecs (e.g., Opus, G.711).
• Understanding of ROS2 (e.g., Humble, Foxy), with programming experience in topics, services, and actions.
• Experience with RK3568/RK3588, NVIDIA Jetson, or NXP i.MX series platforms.
• Experience in camera development and video streaming (RTSP, H.264).
• Ability to read schematics and use oscilloscopes/logic analyzers for hardware debugging.
