Electrostatic Protection and Process Safety Standards Expert
Safeguard the intrinsic safety of titanium dioxide post-processing, pneumatic conveying and fibre masterbatch operations. The expert will provide targeted, first-line guidance when appointed for critical safety reviews, design milestones, production incidents or compliance preparation.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct on-site electrostatic and explosion-risk audits across titanium dioxide workshops, conveying pipelines, large silos, masterbatch mixing areas and material-transfer interfaces; assess electrostatic leakage, grounding effectiveness and explosion hazards.
- Provide safety-compliance assurance at major project milestones, including HAZOP/design review, equipment installation acceptance and trial-production commissioning.
- When significant electrostatic or safety anomalies occur—such as downstream filament-breakage feedback, local sparking or abnormal antistatic filter-bag performance—perform root-cause analysis and recommend practical corrective actions.
- Conduct mock audits and compliance-readiness guidance before major national or international environmental and production-safety inspections or certification reviews.
About you
- 10+ years of expert experience in large-scale chemicals, powder explosion prevention, research institutes or national-level explosion-proof/electrostatic testing organisations.
- Deep knowledge of electrostatic and explosion-prevention standards, including IEC 61340, NFPA 77 and relevant GB 50058/GB 15599 series standards.
- Strong track record in direct, field-based industrial safety inspections or large-scale electrostatic remediation projects, with the ability to deliver high-value, implementable engineering solutions quickly.
- Electrostatic hazard assessment, grounding verification, ignition-risk control and dust-explosion prevention in powder-handling environments.
- HAZOP participation, safety-design review, commissioning acceptance and root-cause analysis.
- Interpretation and practical application of Chinese and international electrostatic-protection and explosion-prevention standards.
- Chinese Registered Safety Engineer (CSE) credential and/or a relevant senior professional title (preferred).
- Experience engaging with third-party auditors, regulatory inspections or certification bodies (preferred).
- Available for appointment-based, daily-rate consulting and able to meet agreed deployment timelines.
- Confident working directly at industrial sites and communicating findings clearly to management and operations teams.
