Job summary

The Hongkong Electric Co., Ltd is seeking a skilled technician to support workshops and field teams in Ap Lei Chau. You will assist in testing and refurbishment of electrical equipment, monitor vehicle conditions, and input daily workshop documentation.

The role requires a Higher Diploma/Certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, at least 3 years of relevant experience, and a Green Card safety training certificate. A Class 1 driving licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Higher Diploma / Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines
• A minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience
• Completion of recognized technician / apprenticeship training in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering preferred
• Good knowledge of power system
• Basic knowledge of vehicles and computer skills
• Holder of a valid Green card safety training
• Holder of a valid Class 1 driving licence
• Holder of Registered Electrical Worker (A0) an advantage
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Assist in testing isolator, switchgears, transformers, equipment and instruments
• Assist in supervising tradesmen and contractors during refurbishment of isolator, switchgears and transformers
• Assist in checking the condition of company vehicles
• Input daily workshop documentation
• Handle any other relevant responsibilities or functions of workshop as assigned
