Job summary

Toshiba TEC Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a motivated engineer to conduct product evaluation and verification testing, troubleshoot failures, and support product development and continuous improvement.

In this role you will evaluate components from AVL, document test results, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality and reliability. Experience in microcontroller-based design and BOM management is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field is required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in product design and development, including microcontroller/microprocessor-based design.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in product testing, failure analysis, and use of test equipment for troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of electronic components, circuit fundamentals, and ability to read engineering drawings/schematics.
• Familiarity with mechanical control systems and interfaces such as SPI, I2C, RS232, Parallel, USB, and SATA.
• Experience in BOM management, component selection, or value engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct product evaluation and verification testing per test plans and document results.
• Perform failure analysis and troubleshoot defective products and components to identify root causes.
• Evaluate and select components from AVL to support value engineering and sourcing.
• Prepare and update technical documentation including drawings and BOMs.
• Analyze test data and provide recommendations to improve performance and reliability.
• Provide technical and documentation support during prototype builds and development activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve products.
