Job summary

VSMNE RESOURCES PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to plan, design and coordinate electrical works for construction and M&E projects in Hong Kong.

You will prepare drawings, submissions, method statements and calculations while reviewing shop drawings with consultants, clients and other trades. You will supervise electrical installations on site, ensure compliance with drawings, specs and relevant standards, and coordinate with subcontractors to keep schedules on track.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in electrical construction / M&E projects preferred.
• Experience in commercial, industrial, data centre, or building projects is an advantage.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, LV/MV distribution, power, lighting, containment, earthing, and testing & commissioning.
• Able to read and understand electrical drawings and technical specifications.
• Familiar with AutoCAD; BIM/Revit knowledge is an advantage.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and supervise site activities.
• Willing to work on construction sites and support project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and coordinate electrical works for construction and M&E projects.
• Prepare electrical drawings, submissions, method statements, calculations, and material submissions.
• Review and coordinate electrical shop drawings with consultants, clients, architects, and other trades.
• Supervise and monitor electrical installation works on site for compliance with drawings, specs and standards.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams for smooth execution.
• Conduct site inspections, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
• Monitor progress, manpower, materials, and installation schedules.
• Attend site meetings and coordinate technical matters with clients and main contractors.
• Ensure all electrical works comply with SS, IEC, BCA, EMA, SCDF, Workplace Safety and Health requirements.
• Prepare progress reports, inspection records, testing & commissioning reports.
• Assist in quantity take-off, cost estimation, variation works, and progress claims.
• Identify technical issues and provide engineering solutions.
• Ensure electrical works are completed according to project specifications and timelines.
• Carry out other duties assigned by the Project Manager or Management.
