Job summary

Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited seeks a forward-thinking eFX Trader to join its electronic FX trading desk. You will monitor automated pricing, oversee client onboarding, and manage end-to-end electronic client experience across OTC and futures markets.

The role requires 2+ years on an FX trading desk, deep understanding of FX mechanics and liquidity structures, and hands-on experience with ECNs, aggregators, and APIs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years on an FX trading desk with electronic market-making experience.
• Thorough understanding of FX mechanics, liquidity structures and OTC/currency futures.
• University degree; finance, business, engineering or maths considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Monitor automated pricing engines and execute across OTC and currency futures.
• Oversee onboarding of clients onto electronic platforms with Sales/IT coordination.
• Analyze flow patterns, toxicity, and hit ratios to optimize pricing tiers.
• Evaluate liquidity provider performance and manage external/internal risk.
• Configure and monitor ECNs, multi-dealer platforms, and direct APIs.
• Act as first line of defense for pricing discrepancies and connectivity issues.
