Job summary

ESF Quarry Bay School Kindergarten is inviting applicants for a temporary Educational Assistant from October 2026 to June 2027. The role supports a passionate team delivering high-quality early childhood education in Quarry Bay, Hong Kong.

Ideal candidates will have an Early Years teaching qualification and a commitment to nurturing young learners aged 3 to 5 years. Permanent residency or valid HK work visa is required.

Qualifications

• Self-motivation and initiative to work with young children.
• Strong English communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues and families.
• Experience in early childhood environments with children aged 3–5 years.
• Ability to engage children from diverse cultural backgrounds in inclusive activities.
• Formal teaching qualification in early years is preferred and HK Teacher Registration is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with planning and conducting a range of classroom activities.

Job description

Quarry Bay School Kindergarten is looking for a temporary Educational Assistant, from October 2026 to June 2027, to join our exceptional team of highly qualified and experienced staff who are both nurturing and passionate about early childhood education.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and support the teacher in conducting a range of classroom activities
• Guide and lead children in individual and small group activities
• Contribute to maintaining a stimulating and challenging learning environment
• Support the emotional development of children through nurturing and caring for them
• Observe, gather and document information on children’s progress and report them to the teacher
• Organize and prepare resources for planned activities

Requirements

• Be self-motivated
• Have excellent English communication skills
• Have experience working with children young children (between 3 and 5 years old) in an educational environment
• Have experience working with children from diverse cultural backgrounds
• An Early Years/Teaching qualification and Hong Kong Teacher Registration is advantageous.
• Applicants must be a permanent Hong Kong resident or possess a valid visa to work in Hong Kong.
