Job summary

Elite Education in Hong Kong is seeking an Education Operations Manager to oversee tutoring and education support services, coordinating recruitment, scheduling, and performance management of tutors while collaborating with our counselling team to ensure high-quality student outcomes.

The role requires a detail-oriented, proactive communicator with strong organisational skills, capable of prioritising tasks and solving problems under pressure; fluency in English is essential and Mandarin

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Experience in operations, administration, project coordination, and education consulting, admissions, or tutoring is advantageous.
• Familiarity with international curriculums and college admissions.
• Fluency in English; Mandarin proficiency is highly regarded.
• Proficiency with education tools such as Google Classroom and scheduling apps.

Responsibilities

• Forecast and oversee tutor supply including full-time, part-time, and freelance tutors.
• Recruit, screen, interview, and onboard tutors matching subject expertise and culture.
• Manage scheduling, allocation, substitutions, and leave cover.
• Track tutor utilization and reallocate capacity to other tasks (curriculum writing, resources, marking).
• Review lesson quality and coach tutors; manage performance and retention.
• Conduct appraisals and support tutor retention strategies.
• Maintain accurate tutor records (availability, qualifications, background checks).
• Handle parent escalations related to teaching and coordinate with counselling team as needed.
• Report to management on tutor supply, coverage, utilization, quality and attrition.
