Job summary

Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority is seeking a Senior Officer – Education Assessment Services to manage the Territory-wide System Assessment (TSA) under the Basic Competency Assessment project. You will develop papers, oversee TSA Chinese Language assessments and lead seminars for schools and teachers.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree with Chinese education credentials, plus extensive experience in education assessment and staff supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant subject with a Certificate or Diploma of Education in Chinese, or equivalent.
• At least 6 years’ relevant working experience; teaching in secondary schools would be an advantage.
• High proficiency in spoken and written Chinese is preferred.
• Familiar with content and pedagogy of the subject, with knowledge of education assessment, internet and related IT applications.
• Good supervisory, organizational, communication and time management skills.
• Experience in staff supervision and/or project management would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage development, implementation and quality assurance of the Territory-wide System Assessment (TSA) under the BCA Project.
• Develop and prepare question papers for TSA Chinese Language assessments.
• Administer Chinese Language assessments in TSA.
• Conduct seminars and training programmes for schools and teachers.
