Job summary

Mother’s Choice Limited is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Early Intervention Services team under the Two Young Lives Project. The OT will work within a multidisciplinary team to design and deliver family-centred, community-based services for young children and their families.

You will assess children, develop intervention plans, coach caregivers, and support capacity-building with local partners.

Qualifications

• Registered Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapists Board of Hong Kong and a valid Practising Certificate.
• Minimum 2 years of OT experience in paediatrics, early intervention, child development, or community-based services is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to engage with children, caregivers and professionals.
• Knowledge of early childhood development, developmental screening, trauma-informed practice, and evidence-informed approaches.
• Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary EIS team to design and deliver early intervention services, caregiver coaching, and capacity-building initiatives.
• Provide OT assessment, intervention, developmental screening, consultation, and caregiver coaching to support children's development and family wellbeing.
• Support the development, implementation and review of Individualized Development Plans with caregivers and the team.
• Deliver community-based and outreach EIS with accurate clinical and programme documentation.
• Design and facilitate parent and caregiver education programmes promoting early childhood development and responsive caregiving.
• Empower young parents and families through strengths-based consultation and coaching.
• Develop training resources and practice tools to support early identification and family-centred practice.
• Deliver professional training, consultation, coaching, and train-the-trainer programmes to project staff and partners.
• Support quality improvement, programme evaluation and workforce capability in child development and family support.
• Track programme outputs, maintain records, and prepare reports for the Trust and associated research programme.
