Job summary

Imperial in Edmonton, AB seeks an early-career engineer to support Well Engineering in designing and implementing drilling and surveillance programs across Imperial assets, including thermal in-situ and mining operations. Join a team focused on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

You will work with drilling engineers and cross-functional teams, lead reviews, assist in field trials, and help identify opportunities while submitting your unofficial transcripts with your application.

Qualifications

• Second or Third Year of an engineering program at a Canadian accredited university.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a Canadian Accredited University.
• Your most recent unofficial transcript(s) must be submitted with your application.
• Demonstrated leadership and strong academic skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Well Engineering to design and implement drilling and surveillance programs across Imperial assets, including thermal in-situ operations.
• Collaborate with drilling engineers and cross-functional teams to improve designs and field trials.
• Lead offset well reviews to benchmark performance against industry peers for best-in-class delivery.
• Assist with rig surveillance, performance benchmarking, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead or participate in morning rig calls, drilling technical reviews, or risk assessments.
• Identify new wells opportunities, evaluate risks and benefits, and drive implementation with suppliers.
