Job summary

JF Talent Consulting Group (Global) is seeking an E&M Technical Services Manager in Hong Kong. The role covers end-to-end technical support across lighting, MVAC, and power distribution, with a focus on retrofit projects, factory audits, and on-site troubleshooting.

You will lead site investigations, manage product certifications, and liaise with OEMs to resolve technical issues, while supporting procurement and quality inspections. Proficiency in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering (electrical or mechanical strongly preferred).
• 5-10 years’ experience in MVAC, ventilation, lighting, or electrical systems from a contractor, distributor, or OEM environment.
• Hands-on experience in site troubleshooting (mandatory) and in retrofit or upgrading projects (preferred).
• Technical understanding of ventilation systems, electrical fundamentals, and lighting systems.
• Ability to diagnose issues and propose solutions at the site and in the OEM production environment.
• Able to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with obtaining product compliance certificates (local and international standards).
• Good command of Cantonese, English, and Mandarin.

Job Description

Technical Support

• Resolve contractor queries across electrical and mechanical products (lighting, MVAC, power distribution)
• Support sales team with pre‑tender technical support (product selection, specification compliance, value engineering)
• Support the sales team with outreach to consultants and end users

On‑site Troubleshooting

• Conduct site visits to diagnose installation or performance issues for electrical and mechanical products (lighting, MVAC, power distribution)
• Retrofit solutions and site investigation
• Conduct technical audits for retrofit opportunities (lighting, EC fan upgrades)
• Provide on‑site support during installation and testing & commissioning

Compliance & Certification

• Manage product certifications, including liaising with testing labs and ensuring compliance with local standards
• Maintain an internal library of technical documentation and certifications

Supplier Technical Interface

• Act as a technical liaison with OEMs to resolve technical or quality issues
• Support procurement team with qualification of new OEMs and review of existing OEMs
• Support quality inspections before shipment

Other Responsibilities

• Ad‑hoc tasks from management, including but not limited to supporting own brand development
