Job summary

BAH Partners Limited in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to build distributed platforms powering large-scale research across global infrastructure. You will work at the intersection of distributed systems, platform engineering, and HPC, owning components from design to production operation.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in production-grade distributed systems, strong Go/Python skills, and willingness to relocate to Hong Kong.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Strong proficiency in Go, Python or similar systems programming languages.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, performance, reliability, and fault tolerance.
• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate distributed services managing compute workloads across large-scale infrastructure.
• Develop platform APIs and tooling that improve researchers’ productivity.
• Improve reliability, scalability, and performance of compute-intensive research workflows.
• Build solutions for scheduling, resource management, observability, and security.
• Collaborate with researchers and infrastructure teams to translate requirements into scalable platform capabilities.
• Own systems from design and implementation through production operation.
