Director of Learning and Talent Development

Key Accountabilities:
- Develop and implement Learning & Talent Development strategies that support the hotel's business objectives, people agenda, and HSH talent priorities.
- Facilitate and drive the successful implementation of corporate learning, talent, leadership development, and succession management initiatives introduced by Head Office, ensuring alignment with Group standards and objectives.
- Design, review, and maintain a comprehensive learning and talent development framework that addresses organisational capability gaps and supports future talent requirements.
- Lead talent management processes including succession planning, talent reviews, career development, and Individual Development Plans for key talent populations.
- Lead the management and development of interns, management trainees, emerging leaders, and succession populations through structured development programmes.
- Champion The Peninsula service culture and ensure learning initiatives reinforce luxury service standards, employee engagement, and high-performance behaviours.
- Build and maintain effective partnerships with educational institutions, industry associations, and external learning partners.
- Plan and monitor the Learning & Talent Development budget to ensure effective utilisation of resources and measurable return on investment.
- Utilise learning and talent analytics to measure programme effectiveness and support business decision-making.
General Requirement:
- University degree holder preferably in Human Resources, Learning & Development, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive Learning & Talent Development experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in curriculum design, leadership development, succession planning, talent management, and learning programme implementation.
- Flexible, agile, and able to adapt to changing business priorities, organizational transformation, and evolving operational requirements in a dynamic hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership, coaching, facilitation, presentation, and project management skills.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
- Hospitality industry experience within a luxury hotel environment is highly preferred.
- Certification in recognised development tools or psychometric assessments (e.g. MBTI, DISC, Insights Discovery) is an advantage.
