Job summary

Sands China Design Studio seeks an experienced Interior Design leader to drive luxury design across hotel, F&B, gaming and MICE spaces. You will guide external teams, manage CAPEX projects and ensure cohesive, high-value guest experiences through elevated design delivery.

The role requires a strategic thinker with proven hospitality interior design expertise, strong leadership and collaboration with internal stakeholders and external consultants.

Qualifications

• Over a decade of experience in hospitality design across luxury interiors.

Join Sands Design Studio and work in a rewarding, dynamic and strategic department; part of Sands China – leading developer, owner and operator of multi-use integrated resorts and casinos.

Your role will be diverse, challenging and stimulating in driving a luxurious standard of ‘Design Excellence’ across all areas on properties from Hotel, F&B, Gaming, MICE Space, and public community spaces.

Responsibilities

• Direct external design teams in the execution of their design deliverables, define team resources providing direction and guidance to ensure successful implementation of “Design Excellence” that meets project schedule and budget.
• Develop a strong culture of integrity, teamwork, communication, passion, creativity, respect and strong project delivery to support internal stakeholders (DPM, FFE, Procurement, Commercial and Operations), external consultants and vendors.
• Manage Interior Design delivery process for new projects and CAPEX plan initiatives, providing strategic recommendations to improve the inherent value of the asset, quality of the guest experience through elevated design enhancements.
• Project planning incorporating stakeholder requirements in collaboration Project teams ensuring the Interior Design Brief, program and all details are fully considered for each project.
• Responsible for creation and issuance of Design Briefs for each project that define visual and descriptive design cues to guide the consultant team to achieve ‘Design Excellence’ expectations.
• Support the project delivery team in all aspects related to design, to ensure acceptable quality deliverables by the consultants and contractors throughout all stages of the project
• Support internal Commercial and Procurement teams by providing input and approvals on schedule, budget and design consultants’ RFP’s, Interior Design deliverables, and fee, manage contract resolution as necessary.
• Approve finishes samples, FFE selection, decorative lighting, artwork and accessories specifications and comment on suitability/coherence to the holistic design vision.

Requirements

• Over decade of relevant experience with proven track record in Hospitality Design; within the luxury sector at major Interior Design / Consultancy Firm, Hospitality and Development companies or owner / operators.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, including the ability to handle details through to completion, ensure project objectives are met and projects are successfully delivered on par with ‘Design Excellence’.
• Ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders; strong interpersonal skills to relate well with senior management with poise, while being a self-starter.
• Excellent leadership capabilities, charisma, and communication skills to influence, inspire and motivate key stakeholders around a single vision.
• Complex problem solving and creative solution skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced, and changeable environment under pressure while meeting deadlines.
• Experience and knowledge of all aspects of hospitality interior design including space planning, FF&E, design materials; Interior Design processes, design team structures.
