Job summary

FWD Group in Hong Kong is recruiting for a Senior Investigator to lead the Investigation Team and support the Chief Compliance Officer with regulatory and investigative duties. You will oversee fraud and misconduct investigations, coordinate records, and liaise with law enforcement and regulators to ensure timely reporting.

The role requires extensive compliance experience in financial institutions, strong analytical skills, and fluency in English and Cantonese.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of compliance experience in HK financial institutions, including 5+ years in insurance.
• Experience dealing with regulators such as HK Insurance Authority and SFC.
• Familiar with HK insurance regulations and regulatory requirements.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Cantonese.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Investigation Team, providing direction and oversight in carrying out its investigation responsibilities.
• Assist the Chief Compliance Officer in managing the Distribution Disciplinary Committee, including meeting coordination and updating Terms of Reference.
• Lead and oversee fraud and misconduct investigations, including case assessment, evidence gathering, documentation, analysis and reporting.
• Maintain investigation records and databases for case management and risk reporting.
• Act as liaison with law enforcement and coordinate responses to enquiries.
• Coordinate responses from regulators and prepare regular investigation-related reporting to Management and Committees.
• Maintain and coordinate the Dawn Raid Plan for regulator and law enforcement requests.
• Perform ad hoc tasks as directed by the Chief Compliance Officer.

Job Lead

• Lead and manage the Investigation Team, providing direction and oversight in carrying out its investigation responsibilities
• Assist the Chief Compliance Officer in managing the Distribution Disciplinary Committee, including meeting coordination, maintenance and periodic review of the Terms of Reference, and provision of relevant updates
• Lead and oversee fraud and misconduct investigations, including case assessment, evidence gathering, documentation, analysis and investigation reporting
• Maintain appropriate investigation records and databases to support case management, trend monitoring, risk identification and management reporting
• Act as the key liaison with law enforcement agencies and coordinate responses to investigation-related enquiries and information requests
• Coordinate and handle investigation-related enquiries and requests from regulators
• Prepare and coordinate regular investigation-related reporting to Management and relevant Committees
• Maintain and coordinate the Dawn Raid Plan to support appropriate responses to requests by regulators and law enforcement agencies
• Perform any ad hoc tasks assigned by the Chief Compliance Officer

The Person

• Bachelor Degree in law, accounting or business
• At least 15 years of compliance related working experience in financial institutions in Hong Kong with at least 1 5 years in insurance industry
• Relevant experience in dealing with regulators such as Hong Kong Insurance Authority, The Securities and Futures Commission
• Familiar with insurance related legislations and regulatory requirements in Hong Kong
• Fluent in written and spoken English & Cantonese
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Good interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as a team player.
