The Commercial function drives profitable demand, brand equity and long‑term enterprise value across Rosewood Hotel Group’s portfolio. Commercial Planning connects Sales, Marketing, Brand, Digital, CRM, Revenue and Property teams around a shared calendar, clear priorities and a consistent view of performance.
The team ensures that commercial commitments are deliverable, appropriately resourced, on‑brand and measurable. Reporting to the SVP, Commercial, Global, with a dotted line to the VP of Brand Marketing & Communications, Global, this role sits at the centre of integrated commercial planning and delivery.
As Director, Commercial Planning, you will own the end-to-end planning process across Sales and Marketing, establishing the rhythm, governance and delivery discipline that turns commercial and brand strategy into coordinated activity across the full customer journey.
You will lead annual and seasonal planning cycles, bring stakeholders together to establish priorities and resolve trade-offs, and ensure campaigns and initiatives progress against agreed briefs and milestones. Working across global, regional, hub and property teams, you will create clarity around what is happening, when it will happen, who owns it and how success will be measured. You will also lead strategic projects for Commercial leadership, including operating-model design, capability roll‑outs, workflow and tooling implementation, and other cross‑functional initiatives requiring structured programme management.
Own the end-to-end commercial planning process across annual, seasonal and campaign cycles, including the master calendar supporting Sales and Marketing activity. Build an effective planning framework and cadence, with clear milestones, briefing and approval gates, decision points and hand‑offs between strategy, creative, channel and delivery teams. Translate Group and regional priorities into sequenced, resourced plans with clear ownership, dependencies, timelines and deliverables, while identifying capacity constraints and trade‑offs early.
Orchestrate integrated, full‑funnel activity across Brand, Digital, CRM, Revenue and Sales, connecting awareness and demand generation with conversion and retention outcomes. Lead the governance rhythm for commercial delivery, maintaining a single source of truth for plans, briefs, milestones, decisions and risks while holding teams accountable for agreed commitments. Establish KPI and reporting frameworks, embed post‑campaign reviews and prepare executive‑ready planning and performance materials for Commercial leadership and senior stakeholder forums. Lead strategic projects covering operating models, capability development, platform or workflow implementation, and cross‑functional transformation, turning ambiguous challenges into clear workstreams and adoption plans.
Build trust and influence across global, regional, hub and property teams, championing brand integrity, commercial rigour and a strong culture of delivery.
You bring substantial experience in commercial planning, marketing operations, campaign or programme management, or strategy delivery, ideally within luxury hospitality, travel, lifestyle or another brand‑led, multi‑market business.
You have owned integrated Sales and Marketing planning processes, including calendars, briefing, governance and reporting. You are an accomplished project and programme manager who can lead multiple concurrent workstreams to deadline; formal disciplines such as PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile would be advantageous. You understand the full marketing funnel, from brand building and awareness through to performance, CRM and conversion, and can constructively challenge briefs and plans.
You lead effectively through influence and can secure commitment within complex, matrixed and multi‑market environments. You combine strong organisation and attention to detail with sound judgement, analytical thinking and commercial acumen. You communicate with clarity and confidence, including through executive‑level presentations and facilitation, and are proficient with Microsoft 365 and relevant planning, project‑management and workflow platforms.
You hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management or a related field.
As part of our team, you’ll enjoy a thoughtfully designed benefits package that supports your wellbeing, professional growth, and life beyond work. This includes medical coverage, retirement benefits, paid time off, complimentary room nights, learning and development opportunities, global career opportunities, and industry‑leading paid parental leave supporting eligible associates across all paths to parenthood.
At Rosewood Hotel Group, your voice is heard – and valued. We’re a community that encourages associates to be themselves, not fit into a fixed culture, and this philosophy shines through in our commitments to reflect and honor the history, culture and geography of our destinations. We’re not only committed to building and nurturing genuine, long‑lasting relationships but to transforming them – and our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) strategy helps put these principles into practice.
