Job summary

RetailEye Global Co., Limited is seeking a Director of AI R&D to drive cutting-edge 3D vision and mobile AI initiatives for retail and edge computing. You will lead robust algorithm development, mentor engineers, and align research with product and deployment goals.

You will oversee end-to-end R&D from concept to production, champion state-of-the-art CV/ML/DL techniques, and collaborate across teams to deliver high-performance, low-latency solutions on mobile and edge hardware.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in algorithm development with end-to-end research to production deployment.
• Proven ability to independently lead and deliver complex algorithmic projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead R&D of advanced 3D computer vision algorithms (reconstruction, detection, tracking, pose estimation).
• Improve accuracy, efficiency and robustness in real-world scenarios.
• Develop mobile CV solutions in C++ to meet latency and power constraints.
• Explore state-of-the-art CV/ML/DL techniques and propose innovative solutions.
• Lead technical design, architecture reviews, and collaborate with product/engineering to deploy R&D to production.
• Produce high-quality documentation and mentor junior engineers.
• Manage and grow the algorithm team with planning, progress tracking and quality control.
