About the Role
As Digital Project Manager, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex digital initiatives for a leading bank in Hong Kong across multiple business and technology teams. This role is critical in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with regulatory, operational, and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of digital transformation projects across retail, corporate, wealth, or transaction banking domains.
- Develop and manage project plans, budgets, timelines, resource allocation, and delivery roadmaps.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, technology, operations, risk, compliance, vendors, and third-party partners.
- Drive project governance, status reporting, risk management, issue resolution, and executive stakeholder communications.
- Facilitate requirements gathering and ensure business objectives are translated into actionable project deliverables.
- Manage project dependencies across multiple workstreams and ensure alignment with broader transformation programmes.
- Oversee Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog management, and milestone tracking.
- Monitor project performance, identify delivery risks proactively, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Support change management activities, user adoption initiatives, training coordination, and business readiness assessments.
- Ensure all project activities comply with internal governance standards, regulatory obligations, cybersecurity requirements, and operational risk policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of project management experience, delivering digital transformation initiatives within banking or financial services.
- Proven track record managing large-scale technology, digital, data, or customer transformation programmes.
- Strong knowledge of banking products, processes, regulatory environments, and operational frameworks.
- Experience managing complex stakeholder groups across business, technology, operations, risk, and executive leadership levels.
- Hands-on experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum Master, or SAFe are highly preferred.
- Strong vendor management and third-party delivery oversight experience.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality delivery standards.
