Job summary

Binance is seeking an experienced Backend Architect to define and drive the long-term architecture strategy across multiple services in a scalable, secure environment. You will lead design discussions, set standards, and guide modernization efforts while mentoring senior engineers and shaping the team’s growth and hiring.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional partners to ensure reliability, observability, and high‑performance systems that align with business goals.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of backend engineering experience.
• 3+ years in a lead or principal role.
• Proven track record in scaling distributed systems.
• Experience mentoring engineering teams.
• Deep expertise in Java, Go, Python, Node.js or similar.

Requirements

• 10+ years of backend engineering experience, including 3+ years in a lead or principal role
• Proven track record designing and scaling distributed systems in production
• Strong experience leading and mentoring engineering teams
• Deep expertise in backend languages (Java, Go, Python, Node.js, or similar)
• Extensive knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architecture, and API design
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure) and modern infrastructure practices
• Strong understanding of database design, caching, messaging, and high-concurrency systems
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
