Development and Communications Executive (one-year contract, renewable)
We are looking for a passionate and organised storyteller to help expand our reach and sustain our impact. In this multifaceted role, you will support our sustainable growth, ensure seamless project delivery, and elevate our online presence.
You will focus on three core areas:
- Fundraising: Securing crucial grant funding, corporate sponsorships, and donor support.
- Project Coordination & Administration: Keeping operations running smoothly, tracking metrics, and supporting project delivery.
- Digital Communications & Marketing: Driving our social media platforms and digital communications channels to engage our stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, draft, and submit compelling grant applications and foundation proposals.
- Identify and cultivate corporate sponsorship / partnership opportunities.
- Manage donor communications and stewardship, ensuring supporters receive regular, impactful updates.
- Support seasonal fundraising appeals and digital outreach campaigns.
2. Project Coordination & Administration (30%)
- Coordinate day-to-day administrative tasks for fundraising campaigns and organisational projects.
- Maintain the donor database/CRM, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely gift acknowledgments.
- Monitor project timelines, track key performance indicators, and assist in compiling outcome reports.
- Serve as an internal liaison between fundraising goals and programmatic/clinical teams.
3. Digital Marketing & Communications (30%)
- Manage day-to-day social media channels to grow our audience and drive engagement.
- Create engaging digital content, including newsletters, graphic assets, short video clips, and impact stories.
- Write clear, respectful blog posts and case studies that highlight our community outcomes.
- Track digital analytics to optimise social media outreach and public engagement.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Business, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
- 2–4 years’ experience in business development, partnerships, or marketing (ideally in charity, health, or professional services).
- Proven track record of securing partnerships or grants.
- Excellent written communication—able to write emotionally resonant yet professional copy.
- Empathy and discretion—you understand the sensitivity of mental health stories.
