Computershare Hong Kong offers an office-based Dealing Officer role in our Wanchai office. You will manage manual dealing orders within strict timeframes, aligned to SFC regulations, while collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver products and services.

The role emphasizes accuracy, risk control and company-wide process improvements. The ideal candidate holds a business-related degree, has at least 1 year of dealing experience, and a good grasp of Hong Kong market trading practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in a business-related discipline.
• SFC license for Type 1 activity would be advantageous.
• Understanding of Hong Kong market trading practices.
• Good relationship management and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Employee Share Plans (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Efficient operational delivery of Dealing activities (manual order execution – sales/purchases).
• Maintain risk and compliance by ensuring dealing activity remains segregated.
• Adhere to regulatory requirements (SFC) for Dealing services.
• Follow procedures and controls to meet licensee requirements.
• Support audit items and management information reporting.
• Provide data for budgeting, forecasting and dashboards.
• Assist with ad hoc reporting requests.

Its primary responsibility is to provide Dealing & Custody related activities (i.e. Custody/Execution & Settlements), for both the Investor Services and Plan Managers’ businesses.

A role you will love

The Dealing Officer is responsible for handling the operational delivery of all Dealing related activities for the HK Registry & Plans related businesses. They must ensure all manual orders execution are completed with accuracy, within agreed timeframes and ensure strict adherence to Hong Kong regulatory / Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) requirements and all applicable market standards. The Dealing Officer will work closely with our appointment counterparties and internal stakeholders to ensure strategic objectives are executed and delivered within agreed timeframes whilst providing technical support and solutions for new and existing Dealing related products and services. In addition the Dealing Officer will also support any reporting requirements (regulatory or operational), consult with the business to provide execution solutions where dealing outcomes are unknown and have a team first mindset to ensure any other non-BAU-related tasks or activities are delivered in line with agreed timeframes.

Some Of Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Effective operational delivery of all Dealing related activities (manual order execution – sales/purchases) and related products & services
• Maintains all risk & compliance standards by effectively ensuring all dealing activity remains segregated
• Adheres to all regulatory compliance specific to providing Dealing related services to our clients
• Adheres to all procedures/process guidelines & operational controls to ensure strict adherence to SFC licensee requirements
• Monitors and escalates all identified risks in line with required timeframes
• Contributes to the implementation of any internal/external audit items findings within agreed timeframes set by the Asset Services line manager
• Supports the collation of any data requests for any management information reporting:
• Budgeting and Forecasting
• Financial performance/dashboard reporting
• Transactional analytics
• Ad hoc/bespoke reporting request

What will you bring to the role?

• University Graduate with bachelor’s degree or above in business related discipline
• At least 1 year’s experience in Dealing
• SFC license for Type 1 activity
• Knowledge of Hong Kong Market trading practices
• A good understanding of dealing regulations
• Good relationship management skills
• Able to adapt change
• A good understanding of Employee Share Plans (preferable)
