Job summary

Options is seeking a Datacentre Operations Engineer in Hong Kong to join our global fintech infrastructure team. You will install hardware, cabling, servers and network equipment, and manage inventory while coordinating with third-party vendors.

The role requires strong English communication, comfort with fast-paced environments, and a willingness to travel. Knowledge of datacentre cabling, power distribution, and CDU deployments is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience building datacentre infrastructure including rack space, cabling, cooling, power and inventory management.
• Strong knowledge of datacentre structured cabling and power distribution.
• Deployment and troubleshooting experience with CDU (ServerTech Avocent/APC).
• Server and network device rack mounting and cabling.
• Datacentre vendor management.
• Strong English language capability both in written and verbal communication; Chinese preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

The Role

The Datacentre Operations Engineer will be responsible for installation of hardware, cabling, servers and network equipment. They will manage inventory, coordinate third party vendors and assist with other tasks such as installations and troubleshooting.

We’re looking for someone who has technical proficiency in:

• Building, designing and managing datacentre infrastructure including rack space, cabling, cooling, power and inventory management.
• Strong knowledge and experience with datacentre structured cabling and power distribution model.
• Deployment and troubleshooting experience with managed CDU (ServerTech Avocent/APC).
• Server and network device rack mounting and cabling.
• Datacentre vendor management.
• Strong English language capability both in written and verbal communication, Chinese also preferred but not essential.

Experience with Linux deployment, TCP/IP Multicast or other monitoring systems and Market Data experience are preferred, but not essential.
