Job summary

Options is seeking a Junior Network Engineer in Hong Kong to join the Options Networks Team. The role focuses on routing and switching, network security, and hands-on experience with vendor equipment.

You will work with global network teams US/APAC, implement changes, assist onboarding of clients, and develop skills in Linux and Python. CCNA knowledge encouraged; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• CCNA level routing & switching proficiency is required.
• CCNA certification is looked upon favourably.
• Basic Linux and Python skills are appreciated in the role.
• Ability to learn in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Responsibilities

The Role

The role requires a flexible, engineer who is capable of managing multiple work streams in a fast-paced service provider environment, is keen to learn and has the right attitude. Teamwork and ability to work on own initiative is imperative for the role. This position presents a fantastic opportunity to get hands on experience with different technologies across a variety of vendor’s equipment.

We’re looking for someone who has technical proficiency in:

• A good knowledge of Routing & Switching to a CCNA level or higher.
• A good attitude and strong work ethic with a willingness to learn in a fast pace working environment.
• CCNA certification, Linux and Python skills are looked upon favourably.

Typical Job duties would include:

• Implement, maintain, troubleshoot and support all aspects of network and security on the Options network infrastructure.
• Work closely with the global network team (US and APAC).
• Delivery of changes to the network environment to facilitate the onboarding of new clients, to deliver new features or service to the PIPE platform and to provide support for production issues.
