Job summary

Prudential Hong Kong is seeking a senior Data Governance leader to coordinate governance practices across the organization, ensuring data is managed as a trusted, secure enterprise asset with clear ownership and lifecycle management.

You will drive compliance with regulatory and internal requirements, engage stakeholders across business and technology, and continually improve controls to support informed decision making.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Risk or related disciplines.
• Hands-on in data quality management, data lineage, metadata management, data cataloguing, MDM, and lifecycle governance.
• Strong understanding of data-related regulations and privacy in highly regulated industries such as insurance or banking.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Data Governance Framework & Policy Management - Define, maintain, and enhance data governance policies, standards, procedures, controls, and governance frameworks
• Data Governance Operations & Stewardship - Manage core governance processes, including metadata, data dictionary, data lineage, access controls, and lead Data Stewardship forums
• Data Quality, Risk & Communication Management - Monitor data quality, governance issues, audit findings, risk assessments, and implement improvements to strengthen governance controls
• Stakeholder Engagement, Communication & Awareness - Drive governance awareness, maintain documentation, and liaise between business and tech teams to ensure governance alignment
