Job summary

Turner & Townsend Limited is seeking a Project Manager/Construction Manager for data center construction initiatives. The role oversees scope, schedule, budget, and quality, collaborating with design and project teams to optimize delivery of new data halls and system upgrades.

You will lead procurement, bid evaluations, and contract administration, while driving risk mitigation, constructability reviews, and performance metrics across live data center environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in building services, mechanical or electrical engineering, construction management or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience constructing and managing complex MEP systems in mission-critical environments.
• 5+ years in general contractor and vendor management with RFPs, bidding, change orders and RFIs.
• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and leadership skills.
• Experience in project or construction management for live data centers or critical infrastructures.
• Experience reading construction specifications and drawings.
• Knowledge of local building codes and data center construction practices.
• Experience with project management and scheduling tools like MS Project or Primavera.

Responsibilities

• Own leadership throughout the construction and coordinate with design and project teams.
• Identify project risks and optimize buildability for cost-effective delivery.
• Negotiate with contractors and vendors and evaluate bids with detail.
• Perform cost control and financial analysis, including site inspections and payments.
• Manage projects to increase data center resiliency.
• Coordinate constructability reviews of MEP designs.
• Handle contract administration, submittals, RFIs, changes and invoicing.
• Ensure quality control and compliance with regulations and SLAs.
• Record and report key construction metrics to team and management.
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for equipment failures.
• Serve as a leader within the group and with internal/external delivery teams.
