Job summary

Randstad Hong Kong Limited is seeking an Analytics Engineer to shape global supply chain and sustainability strategies by building scalable SQL and BigQuery ETL pipelines and delivering Tableau dashboards for executive decision-makers.

You will join a cross-functional team, acting as the technical connector between frontline operations, central data engineering, and leadership to turn complex data streams into strategic business value.

Qualifications

• 3 to 4 years of experience in operational analytics, data architecture, or data engineering (5 to 7 years preferred).
• Proven track record of end-to-end analytics initiatives delivering measurable efficiency or cost improvements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Data Science, BIS, or related field.
• Strong BI and data engineering skills with SQL and Google BigQuery.
• Experience with Tableau and Looker Studio; familiarity with scripting in Power Query, VBA, Apps Script.
• Fluent English; Cantonese, Mandarin or French advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead a comprehensive audit across operational data assets to establish a unified, documented source of truth.
• Translate operational requirements from audit, compliance, packaging, ESG, and financial teams into technical reporting specifications.
• Collaborate with central engineering to build and automate ETL data ingestion pipelines, targeting a 50% reduction in manual data extraction within 9 months.
• Establish data validation standards and proactive quality checks to maintain a 98% data accuracy baseline across internal teams and external vendors.
• Conduct exploratory analysis across supplier compliance, packaging, ESG, and financial datasets to uncover risk-mitigating process improvements.
• Design, build, and deploy interactive Tableau and Looker Studio BI control dashboards using agile iteration methods.
• Deliver monthly performance and optimization reviews to executive leadership, converting complex analytical outputs into actionable operational mandates.

• Proven track record of taking end-to-end ownership of analytics initiatives that achieved measurable efficiency or cost improvements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Data Science, Business Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
• Technical expertise in Business Intelligence platforms (Tableau, Looker Studio) and advanced spreadsheets (Power Query, VBA, AppsScript).
• Strong data engineering and querying skills with SQL (specifically Google BigQuery).
• Familiarity with generative AI tools and intelligent agent frameworks to enhance analytical efficiency.
• Native or full professional fluency in written and spoken English is required; proficiency in Cantonese, Mandarin, or French is advantageous.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to convey complex data insights to senior executives.
