We are looking for an experienced D365 HR & Payroll Functional Expert to lead the end-to-end functional design and implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 HR & Payroll for a Hong Kong-based client.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands‑on experience in Hong Kong payroll, Dynamics 365 HR/Payroll implementation, payroll integration, testing, parallel runs, and go‑live support.
Own the end-to-end functional design for D365 HR & Payroll.
Conduct Fit-Gap workshops with HR, Payroll, and Finance stakeholders.
Configure payroll elements, allowances, deductions, accruals, and pay cycles.
Design and document Hong Kong statutory payroll outputs, including:
MPF
IRD / IR56 series
713 average wage calculations
Define payroll interfaces and mappings for:
Bank / DBS Autopay
MPF providers
General Ledger (GL)
Work closely with technical teams on payroll interfaces, reporting, and integrations.
Develop and support SSRS / Excel payroll reporting.
Lead payroll data migration, cleansing, reconciliation, and validation.
Lead payroll parallel runs and reconcile results against the legacy payroll system.
Prepare and review FDDs, CRP scenarios, UAT test scripts, and payroll SOPs.
Drive UAT, payroll readiness, cutover, and first live payroll cycles.
Provide hypercare support after go‑live.
Deliver key-user training and knowledge transfer to the AAT payroll team.
10+ years of HR / Payroll functional consulting experience.
Minimum 5 years of hands‑on Dynamics 365 HR / Payroll experience.
At least 3 full-cycle D365 HR / Payroll implementations, delivered end-to-end.
Strong knowledge of Hong Kong payroll and statutory requirements, including:
Employment Ordinance
MPF
ORSO
IRD reporting
IR56 forms
713 average wage rules
Hands‑on experience with:
Leave management
Overtime
Payroll integrations
Proven experience in payroll data migration, reconciliation, and parallel runs.
Experience working with D365 HR, Dataverse, and Power Platform.
Experience with payroll reporting, SSRS and Excel.
Experience working with public sector, statutory bodies, or regulated organizations is preferred.
Proven experience supporting payroll through UAT, go‑live, and hypercare.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent documentation and stakeholder management skills.
Strong communication and presentation abilities.
Comfortable working in an onsite / offshore delivery model.
Able to work independently and take ownership of the payroll functional workstream.
Strong understanding of both business requirements and technical integration requirements.
