Job summary

Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. seeks a credit risk analyst to evaluate credit applications and assess related risk across banking counterparties.

You will coordinate with multiple departments and overseas branches to adjust credit limits and produce in-depth financial analyses to support decision-making. The role requires a finance/risk background, 2+ years of relevant banking experience, strong analytical skills, and solid communication and writing abilities.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Risk Management or related disciplines.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in credit review/application on banks preferred.
• Prior client-facing experience an advantage.
• Good understanding and analysis of country risk.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented with strong analytical and logical thinking.
• Sound knowledge of financial analysis and sensitive to figures.
• Good communication and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive reviews, analysis and assessment of credit applications concerning credit limits with financial-institution counterparties.
• Collaborate with relevant departments and overseas branches on possible adjustments to credit limits.
• Prepare detailed financial and credit-risk analyses.
• Ensure all granted/proposed credit limits align with the Bank’s credit appetite and compliance framework.
• Perform ad hoc tasks/projects as assigned.
