We are seeking a Credit Analyst with approximately three years of relevant experience to join our analytical team. The role combines fundamental financial analysis with quantitative modelling and credit research. The successful candidate will analyse companies, borrowers, transactions and collateral portfolios; develop and review financial and cash-flow models; and support credit analysis, methodology development and ongoing monitoring activities. The analyst will initially focus on building strong credit fundamentals and learning Kriteria's rating methodologies. Over time, the role will also use data analytics, automation and AI-assisted research tools to improve the efficiency and consistency of the analytical process.
Key responsibilities
Analyse the financial performance, cash flow, capital structure, liquidity and debt-servicing capacity of companies, financial institutions and private credit borrowers
Review financial statements, audit reports, financing documents, transaction materials, industry information and other credit-relevant evidence
Build and maintain financial models, including profitability, leverage, cash-flow forecasting, debt-service analysis and stress-testing models
Develop or evaluate quantitative models used to forecast default risk, revenue, delinquency, recovery rates and portfolio performance
Analyse the composition, concentration, credit quality and cash-flow characteristics of collateral portfolios
Conduct cash-flow and structural analysis for asset-backed securities, private credit transactions, supply chain finance products and other structured credit instruments
Evaluate transaction structures, payment waterfalls, credit enhancement, triggers, liquidity support and structural protections
Test transaction and portfolio performance under different economic and credit stress scenarios
Prepare credit reports, rating recommendations, committee materials and surveillance updates
Support ongoing monitoring by identifying material credit developments and early-warning indicators
About you
Bachelor's degree or above in finance, accounting, economics, statistics, mathematics, financial engineering, operations research, data science or another relevant discipline
Approximately three years of relevant experience in financial analysis, credit analysis, structured finance, risk modelling, audit, valuation, transaction advisory or a related field
Strong understanding of financial statements and the relationships among the income statement, balance sheet and cash-flow statement
Sound financial-modelling and quantitative analytical skills
Ability to interpret financial and statistical results and translate them into clear credit conclusions
Strong research, analytical reasoning and professional writing skills
Good written and spoken English and Chinese, including the ability to review English-language financial and legal documents
Careful and evidence-driven working style, with close attention to data quality, model accuracy and analytical records
Intellectual curiosity, professional integrity and a willingness to have analytical conclusions challenged
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a small professional team
