Job summary

HSBC Hong Kong is seeking a high calibre Credit Advisor to join our Private Banking team. You will structure credit solutions, support the full suite of credit products for our private clients, and work closely with Relationship Managers to grow credit business.

You will perform due diligence, underwriting, and risk management activities while assisting in NPA management. Fluency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese is required.

Qualifications

• University degree in a relevant discipline.
• Experience in lending or other credit related functions within private banking.
• Sound knowledge of collateral lending and structured credit transactions for private clients.
• Client facing and management skills will be advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

In this role you will:

• Responsible for structuring credit solutions within private banking, and supporting a full suite of credit products and solutions for our target clients
• To drive the development of credit business within private banking by providing expertise to Relationship Managers and clients
• To create business plans for meeting all risk management and portfolio quality goals and actively supporting the attainment of revenue goals as captured in the balanced scorecard objectives
• Engage in proactive dialogue and client planning with Relationship Managers to focus on developing the Credit business as well as developing new business opportunities
• Perform analysis, due diligence and underwrite credit applications
• Provide assistance to Non-Performing Assets management

To be successful you will need:
