Job summary

HSBC Holdings plc invites applications for a Credit Advisor within Private Banking in Hong Kong. You will structure credit solutions and support a full suite of products for our high-net-worth clients, working closely with Relationship Managers to tailor financing strategies.

You will analyze credit requests, perform due diligence, underwrite loans, and contribute to risk management and portfolio quality. Fluent English, Mandarin and Cantonese are essential to serve our diverse client base.

Qualifications

• University degree in a relevant discipline.
• Experience in lending or other credit related functions within private banking.
• Knowledge of collateral lending and structured credit transactions for private clients.
• Client facing and relationship management skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Credit Advisor

In this role you will:

• Responsible for structuring credit solutions within private banking, and supporting a full suite of credit products and solutions for our target clients
• To drive the development of credit business within private banking by providing expertise to Relationship Managers and clients
• To create business plans for meeting all risk management and portfolio quality goals and actively supporting the attainment of revenue goals as captured in the balanced scorecard objectives
• Engage in proactive dialogue and client planning with Relationship Managers to focus on developing the Credit business as well as developing new business opportunities
• Perform analysis, due diligence and underwrite credit applications
• Provide assistance to Non-Performing Assets management

To be successful you will need:

• University degree in a relevant discipline
• Experiences in lending or other credit related functions within private banking
• Sound knowledge of collateral lending and structured credit transactions for private clients
• Client facing and management skills will be advantageous
• Excellent communication skills in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
