Job summary

Hexon Enterprises Ltd in Hong Kong seeks a Product Costing/Manufacturing Engineer to collaborate with customers on design, material choices, and quotations. You will analyze and establish cost structures across design, materials, labor, tooling, and components, and prepare detailed breakdowns with recommendations for cost-effective manufacturing solutions.

The role requires 1–3 years in product costing or related functions, strong analytical skills, and familiarity with manufacturing processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in product costing, manufacturing engineering, quotation, or related functions.
• Strong analytical and cost modeling skills.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with customers on product design, material selection, component specifications, and quotation preparation.
• Analyze, validate, and establish product cost structures covering design, functionality, materials, labor, tooling, and components.
• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and comparative analyses, providing recommendations on the most cost-effective manufacturing solutions.
• Evaluate product designs against customer requirements, manufacturing feasibility, and cost targets.
• Optimize product designs to improve performance, manufacturability, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Support product development projects by providing cost analysis and value engineering recommendations.
• Collaborate with engineering, sourcing, and production teams to identify cost reduction opportunities.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• 1-3 years of experience in product costing, manufacturing engineering, quotation, or related functions
• Strong analytical and cost modeling skills
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and supply chain operations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems, knowledge of AutoCAD, Pro-E, Freeform and use of AI is an advantage
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills
• Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English
• Based in Hong Kong with occasional travel to Mainland China as required
