Job summary

The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) in Hong Kong is seeking an Assistant Manager in the Corporate Finance Division, Policy Team. You will contribute to listing policy development, evaluate transactions with regulatory implications, and provide research and analysis to support policy work.

You will collaborate with other divisions, the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, and international regulators such as IOSCO and OECD.

Qualifications

• University degree preferably in finance, economics, accounting, business or law and/or professional qualifications such as CFA.
• At least 3 years of relevant working experience from securities and futures companies, investment banks, professional law or accounting firms or relevant regulatory bodies.
• Good research, writing and communication skills.
• Familiarity with the regulation of listed companies in Hong Kong or an overseas jurisdiction would be an advantage.
• Inquisitive with a strong sense of responsibility and impeccable integrity.

Responsibilities

• Developing rules and policies for the development of the Hong Kong listing market and the regulation of listed companies and market participants.
• Evaluating transactions and applications involving listed companies that are novel, controversial or sensitive or that have policy or regulatory implications.
• Provide research and analysis for the Corporate Finance Division to identify and analyse broader market trends and issues and assist with other listing policy and regulatory work.
• Work closely with other Divisions within the SFC as well as the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong. There will be opportunities to engage with overseas securities regulators and international organisations such as IOSCO and the OECD.
