Job summary

Hang Seng Bank is seeking a Manager, Control Office within Commercial Banking – Global Trade Solutions in Hong Kong. The role focuses on 1LoD governance, risk/control assessments, and coordinating assurance activities to strengthen control health across GTS.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, solid banking risk experience, and strong English/Chinese communication. A stakeholder-driven, detail-oriented mindset is essential for delivery and improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related discipline.
• Solid experience in banking with exposure to risk and control management, trade finance and/or commercial banking.
• Strong risk, compliance and control mindset with high attention to detail and documentation.
• Experience in project management and coordinating multiple workstreams is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-influencing skills, across Product, Operations, Technology/Change and second line functions.
• Strong written communication for governance minutes and senior forum materials.

Responsibilities

• Maintain 1LoD control governance, cadence and reporting.
• Coordinate risk and control assessments (RCA) and validate control design.
• Monitor control testing, assurance readiness and regulatory actions.
• Oversee issue/incident tracking and remediation delivery.
• Produce MI dashboards on control health, KCIs and remediation progress.
• Collaborate with GTS stakeholders across country, regional and global teams.
