Job summary

St. James' Settlement in Hong Kong is seeking a Human Resources Officer (Contract) based in Wan Chai. The role covers onboarding, tax filing, retirement fund administration and leave administration, supporting HRIS and HR audits, and maintaining accurate employee records.

You will assist in policy formulation, compile HR statistics for management review, and handle ad hoc HR projects. Fluent English and Chinese, detail-oriented and a strong team player are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree holder or above in Human Resources Management or related disciplines.
• HKCEE five passes incl. English (Syl. B) & Chinese at grade E or above or HKDSE five subjects including Chinese and English Language at Level 2 or above or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Human Resources functions in a sizable company.
• Well-versed in Labour Ordinance and other HR related ordinance.
• Detail-minded, well-organised, strong sense of responsibility, initiative and able to work under a fast-paced environment.
• Good team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint and Chinese word processing.
• Experience of using Flex system

Responsibilities

• Support full spectrum of HR functions including but not limited to C&B focus on onboarding arrangement, tax filing, retirement fund administration and leave administration.
• Handle EC cases, administer HRIS applications, respond to routine HR inquiries and participate in HR audit.
• Handle routine maintenance on employee database and ensure all personal records are up-to-date and accurate.
• Assist in the formulation and implementation of HR policies, procedures and tools in accordance with Company’s rules & regulations.
• Compile regular HR related statistics and reports for Management’s review.
• Perform other ad hoc assignments or projects when assigned.
