Job summary

CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY COUNCIL - HONG KONG INSTITUTE OF CONSTRUCTION is seeking a Senior Safety Officer to lead construction safety initiatives and promote best practices across the industry. The role requires extensive post-qualification experience and registration as a Safety Officer, with RSA an advantage.

You will develop safety alerts, guidelines and resources; provide expert advice on safety matters; and collaborate with government, contractors and institutions to advance safety

Qualifications

• A recognised degree in construction safety, engineering, construction management or related disciplines.
• 7+ years post-qualification experience in construction safety with proven track record in developing and implementing safety initiatives.
• Registration as a Safety Officer (RSO) is required.

Responsibilities

• To support the development, implementation and promotion of construction safety initiatives, programmes and best practices for the industry.
• To develop, review and disseminate safety alerts, safety guidelines, technical reference materials and other resources for industry stakeholders.
• To provide professional advice and technical support on construction safety matters, and conduct safety-related studies, research and data analysis.
• To support the development and enhancement of safety-related digital platforms, technology applications and innovative solutions to improve construction safety performance.
• To liaise and collaborate with government departments, professional institutions, contractors, consultants and other stakeholders, and organise industry engagement activities, seminars and workshops.
• To carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time by the Executive Director.
