Job summary

Lanon Development Limited in Hong Kong is seeking a safety professional to coordinate with project management and government departments on occupational safety and health matters, and oversee Safety Officers and the Safety Plan implementation.

The role requires a Civil Engineering or related degree, F&IU Registered Safety Officer and Auditor, 5+ years of site safety experience, and full English/Chinese proficiency. Applicants with less experience may be considered for the Safety Officer position.

Qualifications

• University degree in Civil Engineering or construction-related discipline.
• Registered Safety Officer and Registered Safety Auditor under F&IU.
• At least 5 years' construction site safety experience after registration as Safety Officer under F&IU.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Project Manager, Supervisor, Contractor at management level and other government departments on occupational safety and health matters.
• Prepare and submit for acceptance, supervise and monitor implementation of the Safety Plan.
• Supervise the works of Safety Officers and their team.
• Attend Site Safety Management Committee Meetings, Site Safety Committee Meetings, and other meetings as required by the Project Manager.
• Participate in Weekly Safety Walks.
• Carry out internal safety audits for the Safety Plan at intervals of not less than once every three months, which format, scope and programme are to be proposed and agree with the Project Manager, prepare action plan for the Contractor to follow up.
