Job summary

Zurich 56 Company Ltd in Hong Kong seeks an experienced compliance professional to provide regulatory advisory and conduct risk oversight for Life and General Insurance across the customer lifecycle.

You will partner with business stakeholders to identify and mitigate regulatory and customer conduct risks, support the framework and controls, and guide sales, licensing and intermediary governance. English and Cantonese proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Finance, Insurance, Risk Management or related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in compliance, regulatory advisory, conduct risk, risk management or insurance operations.
• Strong experience within the HK insurance industry, ideally across both Life and General Insurance businesses.
• In-depth knowledge of HK insurance regulations, conduct standards and fair customer outcome principles.
• Strong understanding of insurance operations and associated compliance risks.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify gaps, assess risks and recommend balanced solutions.
• Proficiency in leveraging AI-enabled tools and digital technologies to enhance efficiency and generate insights.
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese).

Responsibilities

• Provide compliance advisory and conduct risk oversight for Life and General Insurance activities across the customer lifecycle
• Partner with business stakeholders to identify, assess and mitigate regulatory and customer conduct risks
• Support implementation and enhancement of conduct risk framework, controls and monitoring programs
• Advise on sales and distribution initiatives, intermediary governance, licensing and sales practices
• Support investigations, regulatory reporting and remediation relating to conduct issues or regulatory breaches
• Review major customer complaints and ensure fair, compliant and effective resolution processes
• Provide compliance guidance on product disclosure, policy servicing, claims, digital platforms and AI transformation initiatives
• Monitor regulatory developments and support implementation of new requirements
• Assist with regulatory enquiries, inspections, audits and governance reporting
• Conduct compliance assessments and prepare management information and committee reports
