Job summary

REC Engineering Company Limited invites applications for the role of Community Liaison Officer (Contract). The candidate will handle public enquiries, prepare materials for project communications, and attend public forums to support project outreach.

Fluency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese is required, with strong MS Office skills and a background in public relations. The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager and Supervisor, contribute to district council

Qualifications

• : Degree in communications, public relations or related disciplines (candidates with extensive relevant experience may be considered)
• 2+ years hands-on experience in public affairs, community relations, complaint handling or crisis management
• Experience in community relations and dealing with District Council
• Proficient in MS Office applications and Chinese word processing
• Fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese; strong written English and Chinese
• Good interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

• Handle public enquiries and complaints;
• Prepare press materials, and monthly newsletters for the works project;
• Prepare presentation materials and attend public consultation forums;
• Prepare papers and presentation materials for District Council meetings;
• Liaise with the general public;
• Prepare monthly and quarterly project brochures, fact sheets, newsletters, etc to the satisfaction of the Project Manager and Supervisor;
• Prepare, arrange and obtain Project Manager and Supervisor acceptance on the relevant information to be uploaded to the project website in monthly basis;
• Upload relevant information to the project website; and;
• Handle construction video film production.

Requirements:

• Degree in communication, public relations or related disciplines (candidate who does not meet the above minimum academic requirement may also be considered if candidate has extensive relevant experience in lieu;)
• 2 years or above of hands-on experience in public affairs, community relations, complaint handling, corporatecommunications and crisis management;
• Experience in community relations and dealing with District Council;
• Well-versed in MS office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) and Chinese word processing;
• Proficient in spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese and proficient inwritten English and Chinese;
• Good inter-personal skills
