China Harbour Engineering Co Ltd in Hong Kong is seeking a Public Relations Officer assistant to support public liaison works, prepare monthly newsletters, and create presentation materials for public consultation forums and District Council meetings.

The candidate should have a university degree in communication or public relations, at least 2 years in public affairs and crisis management, strong English, Mandarin and Cantonese, and proficiency in MS Office and Chinese word processing.

Qualifications

• Degree in communication, public relations or related disciplines
• Minimum 2 years hands-on experience in public affairs, community relations, complaint handling, corporate communications and crisis management
• Experience in community relations and dealing with District Council
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and Chinese word processing
• Fluent in spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese; proficient in written English and Chinese

Job description

To assist the current Public Relations Officer in supporting public liaison works;

Prepare press materials, and monthly newsletters for the works project;

Prepare presentation materials and attend public consultation forums;

Pepare papers and presentation materials for District Council meetings;

liaise with the general public;

Prepare monthly and quarterly project brochures, fact sheets, newsletters, etc. to the satisfaction of theProject ManagerandSupervisor.

Job Requirements:

A university degree in communication, public relations or related disciplines – at the discretion of theProject ManagerorSupervisor, candidate who does not meet the above minimum academic requirement may also be considered if he / she has extensive relevant experience in lieu;

A minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience in public affairs, community relations, complaint handling, corporate communications and crisis management.;

Experience in community relations and dealing with District Council;

Well‑versed in MS office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) and Chinese word processing;

Proficient in spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese;

Poficient in written English and Chinese; and

Good inter‑personal skills.
