Job summary

China Harbour Engineering Company Limited is seeking a Public Relations Officer to assist in public liaison, prepare materials, and participate in forums and district council meetings. The role requires strong language skills, crisis management experience, and a solid background in community relations.

The candidate should have a university degree in communication or public relations, at least 2 years of relevant experience, and proficiency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

Qualifications

• A university degree in communication, public relations or related disciplines – at the discretion of the Project Manager or Supervisor, candidate who does not meet the above minimum academic requirement may also be considered if he / she has extensive relevant experience in lieu
• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in public affairs, community relations, complaint handling, corporate communications and crisis management.
• Experience in community relations and dealing with District Council
• Well-versed in MS office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) and Chinese word processing
• Proficient in spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese
• Poficient in written English and Chinese; and
• Good inter-personal skills.
