Job summary

Rec-Engineering-Co-Ltd in New Territories, Hong Kong, is seeking a Communications/Public Affairs Officer to handle public enquiries, prepare press materials and newsletters, and support district council engagements.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of hands-on experience in public affairs and crisis management. Proficiency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, and strong MS Office skills are essential. An attractive remuneration package is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in communication, public relations or related disciplines.
• 2+ years hands-on experience in public affairs, community relations, complaint handling, corporate communications and crisis management.
• Experience in community relations and dealing with District Council.
• Proficient in MS Office applications and Chinese word processing.
• Proficient in spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese and proficient in written English and Chinese.
• Good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle public enquiries and complaints.
• Prepare press materials, and monthly newsletters for the works project.
• Prepare presentation materials and attend public consultation forums.
• Prepare papers and presentation materials for District Council meetings.
• Liaise with the general public.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly project brochures, fact sheets, newsletters, etc to the satisfaction of the Project Manager and Supervisor.
• Prepare, arrange and obtain Project Manager and Supervisor acceptance on the relevant information to be uploaded to the project website on a monthly basis.
• Upload relevant information to the project website.
• Handle construction video film production.
