Job summary

Mace, a global delivery consultancy, seeks a Senior Commercial Manager for a large-scale infrastructure programme in Hong Kong. You will lead commercial governance, cost management, valuations, and contract compliance across multiple sites to support robust decision-making.

You'll provide strategic leadership to large teams, oversee risk, change control, and close-out activities, and promote sustainable delivery aligned with net zero ambitions. MRICS/RICS and 20+ years' experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 20 years’ commercial management experience.
• MRICS/RICS or equivalent professional accreditation.
• Proven expertise in contracts, cost management, risk, change control and value engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial and cost management activities with robust governance, contract compliance, and formal execution of contractual documentation.
• Provide strategic leadership across large teams, driving high performance, continuous improvement, and excellence in project delivery.
• Oversee valuations, cost control, forecasting, and reporting, delivering accurate commercial insights to support decision-making.
• Manage change control, assessing cost impacts, claims, variations, and commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure efficient project close-out, including negotiation of final accounts and issuance of completion and defects certificates.
• Support business growth, champion transformational change, and contribute to Mace’s net zero carbon ambitions through sustainable delivery practices.

The Project

A large-scale infrastructure programme involving complex civil, structural, and MEP works across multiple sites. The scope includes new town development, advanced technology facilities, and integrated transport systems, with emphasis on systems coordination, asset renewal, and long-term operational resilience.

You’ll Be Responsible For

• Lead commercial and cost management activities, ensuring robust governance, contract compliance, and formal execution of contractual documentation.
• Provide strategic leadership across large teams, driving high performance, continuous improvement, and excellence in project delivery.
• Oversee valuations, cost control, forecasting, and reporting, delivering accurate commercial insights to support decision-making.

You’ll Need To Have

• At least 20 years’ commercial management experience, degree qualified, with MRICS/RICS (or equivalent) professional accreditation.
• Strong expertise in contracts, cost management, risk, change control, and value engineering.
• Proven success delivering complex projects and building trusted client relationships.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills, with a focus on sustainability.
