Job summary

IO Tech Solutions Limited is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Infrastructure Contractor to lead migration and governance for a global private equity client in Hong Kong. You will drive on-premises VM migrations (Hyper‑V/VMware) to Azure IaaS, design landing zones, and establish governance frameworks while acting as a technical authority coordinating with external vendors and security teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, networking, governance).
• Proven experience migrating on-premises VMs to Azure (Hyper-V/ VMware) using Azure Migrate.
• Strong knowledge of Hyper-V and/or VMware vSphere in enterprise environments.
• Experience designing Azure Landing Zones, RBAC, Azure Policy, and automation (Terraform or ARM/Bicep).
• Proven ability to lead external vendors; fluent English; immediate availability preferred.

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Infrastructure Lead to drive cloud migration and platform governance for a global private equity firm. The primary focus is leading on-premises to Azure VM migration (Hyper‑V), designing Azure Landing Zones, and implementing governance frameworks. The candidate must act as a technical authority – directing external vendors, reviewing their deliverables, and ensuring compliance with architectural and security standards. This role provides additional execution capacity to keep project timelines on track without impacting existing team bandwidth.

Key Responsibilities

• Azure Landing Zone & Governance – Design and implement Azure Landing Zone architecture, including management groups, subscriptions, RBAC, Azure Policy, and cost governance frameworks.
• On-Premises to Azure VM Migration – Lead migration of virtual machines from Hyper‑V (and/or VMware) to Azure IaaS using Azure Migrate – handling assessment, planning, execution, and cutover.
• Hybrid Networking & Security – Design and configure hybrid networking (ExpressRoute, VPN, VNet peering, Hub & Spoke), NSGs, firewalls, and load balancers; enforce security hardening aligned with Azure Security Benchmark and CIS.
• Infrastructure Automation & Operations – Implement infrastructure-as-code using Terraform (or ARM/Bicep); automate patching, monitoring, and compliance scanning; manage server lifecycle (provisioning, decommissioning).
• Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination – Act as the technical integration focal point – coordinating with external vendors, application teams, and security teams; review vendor deliverables (architecture, code, migration plans) and enforce compliance with internal standards.
  

Required Qualifications

• Azure Experience – 5+ years hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, networking, governance).
• Migration Experience – Proven experience in on-premises to Azure VM migration using Azure Migrate or similar tools.
• Virtualization – Strong knowledge of Hyper‑V and/or VMware vSphere in enterprise environments.
• Governance & Automation – Experience designing Azure Landing Zones, RBAC, Azure Policy, and proficiency in Terraform (or ARM/Bicep).
• Leadership & Language – Proven ability to lead and direct external vendors; working proficiency in English; immediate availability preferred.
