Job summary

Nextlink (HK) Technology Co., Ltd. is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and deploy well-architected AWS solutions in Hong Kong. The role supports pre-sales activities and collaborates with management and support teams to deliver projects on time.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of cloud experience, a coding background (Python), and strong English and Chinese communication skills. You will work with Terraform, Kubernetes, and Ansible to build scalable cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in cloud computing and IT infrastructure.
• 1+ year of software development experience.
• Proficiency in Python or another modern programming language.
• Experience with cloud automation and configuration management.
• Familiar with Terraform, Kubernetes, and container solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy AWS-based solutions that are reliable, secure, and scalable.
• Assist pre-sales to advise customers on AWS solutions with project teams.
• Work with stakeholders to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Dive into code and logs to prioritize operational issues and understand customer configurations.
• Conduct proof-of-concept demonstrations and technical presentations.

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our AWS solution team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping customers solve complex business challenges with AWS best practice solutions.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy well-architected AWS solutions that are reliable, secure, high-performing, scalable, maintainable, and evolvable.

Assist pre-sales to advise customers on various AWS solutions, working closely with project management and support teams on project delivery.

Work directly with business and technical stakeholders to identify and resolve technical issues.

Dive deep into code and logs, drive prioritization of operational issues, and also understand customer use-cases and configurations.

Conduct proof-of-concept demonstrations, technical presentations, and sharing.

Engage in AWS Service Configuration Management, Cloud Automation, and Design for the AWS Platform and Applications.

Responsible for building cloud infrastructure as a code (CDK, Terraform, and Ansible) capability by planning and implementing the cloud platform.

Perform system and network design, implementation, monitoring, capacity management, security operations, and support in AWS.

Basic Qualifications

Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or relevant work experience

3+ years of experience working in cloud computing and IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, containers, networks, and system management tools

1+ years of software development background, including design patterns, data structures, and test-driven development

Proficiency is developing in one or more modern programming languages, such as Python.

Experience with cloud automation and configuration management.

Familiar with Terraform, Kubernetes, and Container solutions.

Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and be a quick learner.

A strong sense of ownership is capable of maintaining high performance in a dynamic working environment.

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese.

Preferred Qualifications

AWS Solution Architect Associate certification or above

Good understanding of AWS services and architectures, including compute, storage, networking, databases, security.

Proven ability to architect and design scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant cloud solutions that meet business requirements.

Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.

Good Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking.

Expertise in DevOps, or Serverless Computing.
