Job summary

HKU Health System is seeking a Clinic Assistant at the Senior Technical Assistant rank to join the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine. The role involves reception, patient handling, and clinical support in a busy clinic setting.

Applicants should have HKCEE or HKDSEE qualifications with preferred 3 years of relevant clinic experience. A competitive salary and benefits are offered with potential for renewal subject to funding.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 HKCEE passes including English, Chinese and Mathematics.
• Or HKDSEE Level 2 in 5 subjects including English, Chinese and Mathematics.
• 3 years of relevant clinic/healthcare experience preferred.
• Strong command of English and Cantonese; proficient IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform reception duties: appointments, registration, referrals, and clerical work.
• Handle patient and visitor enquiries, feedback and complaints.
• Provide clinical support: vital signs, ECG, venepuncture, respirator fit test.
• Assist doctor consultations, minor procedures, and follow-up bookings.
• Prepare consultation room and ensure material supply.
• Handle laboratory specimens and manage instrument sterilization.
• Assist in teaching, research and community engagement activities.
