Job summary

Ambition is seeking a Client Advisor / Business Development Manager in Hong Kong to drive client acquisition and relationship management within wealth and institutional segments. The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years in financial services sales/relationship management, strong communication skills, and fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

Our client is a fast-growing asset management firm in Hong Kong, and they are currently looking for a Client Advisor / Business Development Manager to join their expanding team.

Business Development:

• Proactively source new prospects through outreach, referrals, intermediaries, and targeted networking within the wealth and institutional space.
• Run a disciplined sales process from lead generation to mandate win, including qualification, needs discovery, solution pitching, objection handling, and closing.
• Achieve and exceed activity, pipeline, and asset‑gathering targets as agreed with management.
• Lead sales meetings, roadshows, and presentations to clearly articulate the firm’s value proposition and differentiate offerings versus competitors.

Relationship Management:

• Identify upsell and cross‑sell opportunities within existing relationships to increase share of wallet and AUM.
• Translate client needs into concrete proposals and term sheets and drive the negotiation process to secure commitments.
• Partner with portfolio managers and product specialists to structure solutions that balance client objectives and commercial viability.
• Maintain a highly active and accurate sales pipeline in Salesforce, with clear next steps, timelines, and probability of close.
• Prioritize high‑value opportunities and manage time and territory to maximize revenue impact.
• Prepare compelling sales materials (presentations, pitch books, proposals) tailored to each prospect segment and buying stage.
• Coordinate closely with compliance, operations, and onboarding teams to remove friction and accelerate time‑to‑funding.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree holder
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Relationship Management / Business Development / Sales Support within the financial services industry
• Welcome Private Banking Relationship Manager
• Detail-minded and works with a high degree of accuracy
• Effective communication skills are key (written and verbal)
• Fluent in spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin
